Caln Athletic Association was able to complete a successful, fun, and safe Summer 2020 Season in spite of the Coronavirus Pandemic. We did so by partnering with our league families to utilize various social distancing guidelines and by abiding by the health and safety recommendations set forth by Little League International, Pennsylvania Department of Health, Chester County Health Department, and relevant health officials in terms of public gatherings, organized youth sports, and sporting events intended to help us safely operate our league. We plan to follow a similar approach for the Spring 2021 Season. 

Here are the current Covid-19 Policies:
(All these policies are subject to change as the state/county guidelines change)

FACE MASKS: Based on the current state and county mandates regarding face masks for outdoor environments, and for the safety of our players, coaches, volunteers, and families, Caln Athletic Association will require all coaches and volunteers to wear face coverings at all items when working with our athletes during the 2021 season.  Players will not be required to wear face coverings while on the field of play during games and practice, but will be required to wear a face covering when in the bench area.  We recognize that the choice to wear/not wear a face mask is a personal health decision and we support your family's choice. Our policy has been put in place to protect the safety of our players, coaches, volunteers, and families.

TEMP CHECKS: Caln Athletic Association families will be required to take temperature checks at home prior to arrival at the field.  Any player, coach, volunteer, or spectator with a fever of 100.4 or above should stay home.

EQUIPMENT: It is recommended that all players have their own equipment. Limited shared equipment will be available at each field and will be disinfected after each use.

DRINKS: All players must have their own drinks and we recommend that drinks not be shared. We also recommend that drinks be labeled with players name.

TEAM SNACKS:  At this time, we are still discouraging "team snacks." Each player should bring their own snacks, if needed.

SANITIZERS:
*Hand sanitizer will be provided in the dugouts.
*Dugouts will be sanitized between games. 

HANDSHAKES:  At this time, we are recommending players and teams refrain from handshakes, fist bumps or high fives after games.  After games, both teams will line up on their respective foul line and proceed with a “tip of the cap” and “good game” to the opposing team.

SOCIAL DISTANCING: 
*Families will be encouraged to observe social distancing of at least (6) feet between other spectators. 
*Spectators WILL NOT be allowed in the dugouts or team areas.
